SSC CHSL 2019 Dates, Application,, Eligibility, Pattern- Important Notes
SSC CHSL (Combined Higher Secondary Level Examination) conducted on the national level by Staff Selection Commission every year to recruit: Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Data Entry Operator (DEO), Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistant & Court Clerk, for various government organizations. The examination is held in three stages on various centers allotted by SSC. The essential eligibility required to fill the application form of SSC CHSL 2019, candidates must have passed the senior secondary school examination from any recognized board, are eligible to apply for the examination.
Eligibility Criteria
- The applicants must have aged between 18 to 27 years as on 1st August 2019.
- The applicants should have clear 12th standard or equivalent examination from a state or central recognized Institute.
Application Fee
- Candidates will have to make payment of Rs.100/-.
- Candidates claiming under Female/SC/ST/PH categories; are not required to make payment of the fee.
- Candidates can pay the application fee with the use of debit card, credit card, net banking or through SBI bank challan.
Selection Procedure
- Tier 1: Written exam of objective type questions of 200 marks.
- Tier 2: It is a descriptive test of 100 marks and conducted in offline mode;
- Typing Test/Skill Test-For candidates who get qualifying marks in Tier 2 exam. Candidates’ data entry speed should be 8,000 key depressions per hour on the computer. 35 words per min is necessary for English typing, whereas, 30 words per min in case of Hindi typing.
SSC CHSL 2019 Exam Pattern

- There will be 4 sections (General Intelligence, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude & General Awareness) carrying 50 marks for each section.
- The duration of the examination will be 2 hours.
- The question paper will be available both in Hindi & English except the English Language.
- There will be MCQ type questions and ¼ marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
- The weightage of each section will be 50 marks.
