SSC CHSL (Combined Higher Secondary Level Examination) conducted on the national level by Staff Selection Commission every year to recruit: Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Data Entry Operator (DEO), Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistant & Court Clerk, for various government organizations. The examination is held in three stages on various centers allotted by SSC. The essential eligibility required to fill the application form of SSC CHSL 2019, candidates must have passed the senior secondary school examination from any recognized board, are eligible to apply for the examination.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicants must have aged between 18 to 27 years as on 1st August 2019.
  • The applicants should have clear 12th standard or equivalent examination from a state or central recognized Institute.

Application Fee

  • Candidates will have to make payment of Rs.100/-.
  • Candidates claiming under Female/SC/ST/PH categories; are not required to make payment of the fee.
  • Candidates can pay the application fee with the use of debit card, credit card, net banking or through SBI bank challan.

    Selection Procedure

    • Tier 1: Written exam of objective type questions of 200 marks.
    • Tier 2: It is a descriptive test of 100 marks and conducted in offline mode;
    • Typing Test/Skill Test-For candidates who get qualifying marks in Tier 2 exam. Candidates’ data entry speed should be 8,000 key depressions per hour on the computer. 35 words per min is necessary for English typing, whereas, 30 words per min in case of Hindi typing.

    SSC CHSL Tier-I 

    • There will be 4 sections (General Intelligence, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude & General Awareness) carrying 50 marks for each section.
    • The duration of the examination will be 2 hours.
    • The question paper will be available both in Hindi & English except the English Language.
    • There will be MCQ type questions and ¼ marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
    • The weightage of each section will be 50 marks.

    Tips to Prepare for SSC CHSL 2019

    Know the Syllabus:

    • The candidates must apprehend the syllabus for the exam.
    • Prepare better in those which you can easily do.
    • You can easily exclude the topics in which you are not good.

    Solve previous year questions:

    • To keep in touch with the question asked in the examination, the candidates should repetitively solve the previous year question papers.
    • This would also help them know the level of the question paper.

    • SSC CHSL Examination Dates 2019 – Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the exam dates of SSC CHSL on January 25, 2019. As per SSC CHSL exam dates 2019, the notification along with the application form will be released on December 12, 2019. Candidates can apply for SSC CHSL till January 10, 2020. However, the commission has also released the exam dates of SSC CHSL 2018. The application form of SSC CHSL 2018 will be available from March 5 to April 5, 2019. SSC CHSL Tier 1 exam will be conducted on July 1 to 26, 2019 while tier 2 exam is scheduled to be held on September 29, 2019. Candidates qualifying the Tier 1 will be eligible to appear for Tier 2 and candidates will be shortlisted for Tier 3 on the basis of marks secured in Tier 2. SSc Chsl Tier 3 should be conducted in December 2019.

    • SSC CHSL Application 2019 - The application form of SSC CHSL will be available on December 10, 2019. Candidates will be able to submit the application form till January 10, 2020. SSC CHSL application form 2019can be filled in two parts. Part I of SSC CHSL application form includes name, father’s name, educational qualification whereas in Part 2 candidates need to upload their scanned photograph, signature and make payment either through SBI challan or Visa/ Mastercard etc.
